What we do

Aqua drills wells, services pumps and pressure systems, and tests water for homes, farms, and businesses across Southeastern Wisconsin. Twelve services, grouped the way a well system actually fails.

Where we work

Aqua serves 11 counties in Southeastern Wisconsin from one shop in North Prairie. Geology varies a great deal across the state, so we stay where we know the ground.

The well log database

Know nothing about your well? We probably do.

Aqua maintains the largest well log database in Wisconsin, built over more than 15 years. Wisconsin DNR well construction reports go back to the 1930s, and we can usually tell you when your well was drilled, how deep it is, what it was cased with, and what the neighbors hit, even if we didn't drill it.

Call with your address and we'll look it up. There's no form to fill out for this.

Called at 6am with no water. Someone picked up, and a truck was in the driveway before nine.

They told me the tank was fine and it was a $40 part. Could have sold me a new system and I'd never have known.

Pulled the well log for a house we were buying and walked us through what it meant. No charge.

Common questions

If yours isn't here, call. We'd rather answer it than have you guess.

How fast can you get here?

Often the same day, and in an emergency frequently within the hour. Dispatch depends on where you are in the 11-county area and what else is running, but you'll get a real answer on the phone rather than a callback window.

Why is my water pressure low?

Low pressure usually traces to a failing pump, a waterlogged pressure tank, or a restriction in the line. A drawdown test tells us which one in about twenty minutes.

What kind of maintenance does my well system need?

Test the water annually, check the pressure tank's air charge yearly, and have the system looked at if pressure, sound, or water quality changes. Wells are low-maintenance until they aren't.

Why do I need to test my water for coliform bacteria?

Coliform is the indicator organism for surface contamination reaching your well. It's the cheapest early warning you can buy, and Wisconsin recommends testing every year.

Is my well bad if I get an unsafe sample?

Usually not. Most unsafe samples come from a cracked cap, a compromised seal, or recent work on the system, and are resolved with chlorination and a retest.

What is the average life of a submersible well pump?

12–15 years. Water chemistry, cycling frequency, and the quality of the original installation move that number in either direction.

Why does my pressure tank feel empty?

A tank that feels light has usually lost its air charge or ruptured its bladder, which makes the pump short-cycle. Both are quick to confirm and inexpensive to fix compared to the pump damage they cause.

Where can I find information about my well?

Wisconsin DNR well construction reports go back to the 1930s, and Aqua keeps the largest well log database in the state. Call with your address and we'll look it up.
