Pressure-system diagnosis

What a Drawdown Test Tells You

Drawdown is the amount of usable water delivered between the pump stopping and starting again. Measuring it helps show whether the pressure tank is doing its job.

Why drawdown matters

Normal drawdown reduces pump starts. Very little usable water between cycles can point to lost air charge, a failed bladder, incorrect settings, or another system problem.

What the test does not prove

A drawdown result must be considered with switch settings, tank type, pump operation, leaks, and system demand. It does not diagnose every pressure problem by itself.

Use the result to choose the next step

Aqua can compare measured drawdown with the tank and system, then recommend air charging, control work, leak diagnosis, or tank replacement.
