Before collecting

Confirm which tests are required and use the laboratory-provided bottles. Do not rinse sterile bottles or touch the inside of the cap.

  1. Choose the approved sampling faucet.
  2. Remove screens or aerators when instructed.
  3. Follow the required cleaning or disinfection procedure.
  4. Run the water for the specified time before filling the bottle.

Collect and deliver the sample

Fill to the marked level without touching the bottle opening to the faucet. Cap it immediately, label it accurately, and keep it at the required temperature.

Deliver the sample within the laboratory holding time. A late or improperly handled sample may be rejected.

After the result

An unsafe result may call for confirmation, inspection, repair, chlorination, or another response. Contact Aqua with the complete laboratory report.
